Prayer Needs from the Field
from the NMI Prayer
Mobilization Line 4/27/04
PRAISES:
South Pacific
As a result of the generous
giving of concerned Nazarenes, five and one-half metric tons of rice is
currently being distributed to various island villages in the South
Pacific. We are praising the Lord for His provision for those hard hit
last month by Cyclone Ivy. Pray that as missionary David Potter (Vanuatu)
and others distribute the supplies, God will be glorified and contacts will be
made to allow the Church of the Nazarene to return to these villages. Pray
also for calm seas and safe travel as the group travels to the six islands
affected.
PRAY FOR:
The family of Sang-du Hong
Sang-du Hong passed away
April 27 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. He was 24 years old. Sang-du was
the son of Dr. James Hong, head of the Missions Department at Korea Nazarene
University (KNU). Please pray for the Hong family during this difficult time.
Also, please pray that the many KNU students who knew Sang-du will be
challenged to a deeper commitment to Christ.
Prayer & Fasting for Outreach in the Philippines
Missionary Doug Flemming
requests prayer support for a new ministry opportunity. The Philippines team
plans to launch evangelism and discipleship small groups for the listeners of
the radio program Perfect Rhythm,
which launched several years ago through World Mission Broadcast. The first
event will be held at a large mall on April 29, and there is potential to
impact thousands of lives. Please join
the Asia-Pacific regional leadership team in praying and fasting for this
wonderful opportunity.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR:
Robert Adams
Robert Adams has returned home after being hospitalized with a reaction to
chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for him, as doctors search for an
alternative form of chemotherapy. Robert is the father of Sherri Adams,
missionary to Guatemala.
Flooding in Fiji
Fiji was recently ravaged by
flood waters. According to missionary Cindy Schmelzenbach (Fiji), the Navua
Nazarene Church was completely submerged. The Fijiboat Ministry team rescued
people trapped in their homes due to rapidly rising flood waters. Please continue to pray for the flood
victims in Fiji.
Philippine Luzon District Anniversary
The Philippine Luzon District
will celebrate their 50th anniversary during their district assembly
May 6-9. Please pray for renewed
