Randy and Judy Owens - Missionaries to Senegal

Randy and Judy Owens are career missionaries in Senegal, West Africa.  Randy received a bachelor’s degree in religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon in 1982.  Judy received a bachelor’s degree in biology education from MVNU in 1982.  Prior to their missionary appointment, Randy served as a pastor for 12 years on the Central Ohio and Michigan districts.  Judy taught high school math and science.

After completing two years of Arabic language study in Amman, Jordan, they were assigned to the Eastern Mediterranean Field.  This includes the countries of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt.

Randy’s responsibilities include serving as the coordinator of Work and Witness, working with youth leadership development, ministry training for pastors and laymen, and the development of special projects.  Judy’s responsibilities include the development of national leadership for Sunday School and Nazarene World Missionary Society.

The Owenses have two children, Nathan and Jamie, both students at MVNU.
