Pastor Stephen Zirkle - Youth Pastor
Stephen
is a 1998 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Sharla has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance at
Indiana University on the Ft. Wayne campus.
She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Church Music from Mount
Vernon Nazarene University in 1999. We
have been married since November 27, 1999.
Sierra was born on December 19, 2002.
Stephen’s personal testimony:
When I was six years old, I received Christ as my personal Savior at a Vacation Bible School that I went to with my cousins. God has blessed me with two great Christian parents who have guided me in my Christian walk. They have taught me the values that I need to continue in my daily walk with the Lord. Church was a major part of our lives as a family. It has become a major part of my life also. The summer beginning my senior year, I had the opportunity to go to another International Youth Convention in San Antonio, TX. At this convention I was sitting in an elective session and God began to speak to my heart. He was calling me into full-time youth ministry. Since then, I have been pursuing God and His direction in my life. Completing my senior year in high school, I went to Mount Vernon Nazarene University for a Youth Ministries degree. My freshman year at MVNU was a trying time. I felt God calling me to a new level. He wanted my all. During a chapel service, I gave my all to Christ and there God sanctified me. During the month of January 1998, I interned with Rob Paugh at Grove City Church of the Nazarene. During this time, I learned a lot, but most of all, God really confirmed my calling into youth ministry. I have ministered to teens for about 5 years now and am still loving it passionately. Jesus Christ has been my focus and also my wife’s. We want to see youth come to know Christ, build a relationship with Christ and to become involved in ministry for Christ.
